EnergyLink Ltd. were established in June 2007.
Newcastle upon Tyne but we have a network of approved Installers working across England, Scotland & Wales.
Do I have to get three quotes?
You can have as many quotes as you like but we recommend that you get at least three. The Energy Saving Trust also recommend that you receive three quotes. If you would like more or less, please mention it when we call you.
The surveys are generally free. If there is a charge, our Energy Advisors will let you know when they speak to you.
How do you choose your Installers?
We make sure our Installers are registered with the trade bodies relevant to the service provided. These include MCS, RECC, Gas Safe, OFTEC, CERTASS and FENSA. We also ensure that they have sufficient levels of Insurance and have high standards of Quality, Health & Safety and Customer Service.
Will the Installers be local to me?
Yes. Every Installer we allocate to you will be operating within your postcode area.
Yes, the products come with a guarantee which varies depending on the type. Solar Panels and Solid Wall Insulation are guaranteed for 25 years. Boiler guarantees vary according to the manufacturer and range from 2 to 7 years.
How soon can I have the product installed?
The survey and quoting period can take 1 to 2 weeks. As soon as you choose your Installer, it will depend how busy they are and whether materials need to be ordered. Work can typically be completed between 1 to 4 weeks after you decide to go ahead.
If you privately rent your property, you will need verbal permission from the landlord before arranging any surveys. You should also be clear about who will be paying for the work i.e. you or the landlord. If you decide to go ahead, written permission may be required. If you rent from a Council or Housing Association, we will not be able to help and you will need to contact them directly.
Are there any grants or loans available?
There are no up-front grants for the majority of products listed on this website. There may be a small amount of funding towards the cost of Home Insulation and our Installers will let you know if you qualify. For Renewable Energy products such as Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Biomass, etc., there are incentives available that pay a fixed amount for every unit of electricity or heat generated. These payments more than cover the cost of the system over it's lifetime. We can also help with a Loan for any purpose with interest rates starting at 4.4% APR.
