Roof Direction

Solar PV panels perform best on roofs that face somewhere between South East and South West via South. Please compare your roof against the examples below to make sure it is suitable.

EnergyLink's Installers can also fit Solar Panels onto East and West facing roofs. However, fitting Solar PV to East/West facing roofs results in a performance drop of up to 15%. Other directions are NOT suitable i.e. North West, North and North East.

If your roof is suitable, select the nearest of the three available options on the application form. If you are still unsure, select Not Sure and one of our Energy Advisors will verify this with you over the telephone.
